Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Tees Valley Unlimited, the Environment Agency, Renew@CPI, Tees and Durham Energy Advice Centre (TADEA), the Energy Savings Trust, Teesside University (CLEMANCE), and the Tees Valley Primary Care Trusts.

The Tees Valley Climate Change Strategy supports the commitments made by Local Authorities through the Covenant of Mayors initiative to reduce emissions in their local area by at least 20% by 2020 and will also help the Tees Valley to rise to the challenging legal obligations introduced by the UK Climate Change Act 2008.

The North and South Tees Task and Finish Group aims to deliver the Industrial Development Framework, creating a high-value, low-carbon economy, and to undertake this in a method accountable to Tees Valley Unlimited and transparent to the private sector and wider stakeholders. It oversees the implementation of the North and South Tees Industrial Development Framework through developing a clear vision, ensuring we have the right strategy in place, the right resources, maintaining drive behind the framework and recognising blockers to economic growth.

The North and South Tees Industrial Development Framework aims to:

1. understand how the public sector can support existing operations and potential future investments,
2. identify what constraints exist and how these may be mitigated,
3. recommend intervention projects to remove constraints or enhance opportunities and
4. create a strategic industrial development framework to bring together planning, future investment and economic development.
