- To support our future plans, we need a rail network that has high quality vehicles, frequent services and goes to where people will want to travel in the future. This is the principle behind the Tees Valley Metro project. The aim is to provide a 21st century transit system for the Tees Valley, using our existing rail network in a more cost effective and efficient way. The project is led by the Tees Valley Metro Project Board.
- The Tees Valley Bus Network Improvement Scheme has been developed to deliver improved frequency, reliability, quality and longer term bus network stability. This is being achieved through a combination of bus, passenger waiting facility, infrastructure and bus priority improvements; and fare, ticketing, marketing and information initiatives. The project is led by the Tees Valley Bus Network Improvement Project Board.
